Thane Maynard Gives Free Lecture at UC on Jan. 24.

The Fellows of the Graduate School at the University of Cincinnati have invited Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard to present a free, public lecture on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Thane Maynard will speak at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Great Hall of Tangeman University Center on the University of Cincinnati. His topic is “The Nature of Hope: Saving Endangered Species in the 21st Century.”

The free, public lecture is presented by the Fellows of the Graduate School.

Maynard is one of the most prominent directors of zoos in the country.  His “90-Second Naturalist” radio show has been broadcast on more than 100 National Public Radio and the American Armed Forces Radio for the past 25 years and has been heard by millions of listeners. He has also appeared on national television in programs such as the Today Show and Good Morning America. For his presentation on Jan. 24, he will bring several of the Zoo’s animals to Great Hall.
