Premiere of documentary chronicling CREW scientists’ reintroduction of threatened bird to Trinidad

World Premiere – The Blue and the Gold

Join us for the world premiere of the film “THE BLUE AND THE GOLD,” a compelling story of the reintroduction of Blue-and-Gold Macaws to the island of Trinidad after an absence of more than 40 years. Produced by Trinidadian filmmaker Alex de Verteuil, the documentary features College of Mount St. Joseph graduate Bernadette Coutain Plair ’67, a research scientist who specialized in the conservation of endangered species at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Center for Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife (CREW).

When: Sunday, October 20, 2013, 1-3 p.m.

Where: College Theatre, College of Mount St. Joseph

What: Pemiere followed by Q&A session and reception including animal encounters.

Cost: The event is free and open to the public.
