Landscaping for the Homeowner Series Begins January 8

CINCINNATI – Beat winter chill by thinking warm thoughts and preparing for your spring garden! Back by popular demand is the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s 2014 Landscaping for the Homeowner Series, beginning January 8.

For the past 20 years, Steve Foltz, Director of Horticulture at the Cincinnati Zoo, has put together a series of landscape classes for the home gardener. The classes take the homeowner through the process of looking at your landscape the way a professional Horticulturist would.  The process takes you from design, where most long term mistakes are made, to plant selection and ultimately to care The Journal’s team in Sochi presents 360- online construction management degree views from inside the Games and around the city. and maintenance of your landscape. Classes focus on everything from tree care, to colorful annuals, and everything in between.

“If you want to know the most efficient way to manage your landscape, this series is for you,” said Foltz. “And, if you are tired of not having success with your plants or if you are looking for the best plants for your yard, sign up today.”

Join the Cincinnati Zoo for a 10-week landscape series. Learn how to be a better gardener and a better steward of the environment. All classes meet every Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. starting January 8 for 10 weeks. Cost for the complete series is $80 for Zoo members and $120 for non-members. Individual classes are $10 for Zoo members and $14 for non-members.
