CINCINNATI (February 5, 2016) – The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden (aka Cincinnati Botanical Garden & Zoo in horticulture circles) is hosting a variety of Zoo Garden events this month. From landscaping classes to planting trees, there is something for every green thumb and garden enthusiast. Homeowners can learn about landscaping from the Zoo’s director of horticulture, tree huggers can join the Great Tree Summit 2016 and students of sustainability won’t want to miss the 4th annual Sustainable Urban Landscapes Symposium. The Great Tree Summit – February 13, 2016 The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is inviting concerned community members to attend the Taking Root Summit. Taking Root’s ultimate mission is to inspire the community to better preserve and maintain existing trees, and to plant two million trees–one for each citizen in the region–by the year 2020. Sustainable Urban Landscapes Symposium – March 3, 2016 The fourth annual Sustainable Urban Landscapes Symposium is an upbeat, daylong event with expert speakers from across the region.
