CINCINNATI, OH (March 26, 2018) – The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden features FREE concerts every Thursday evening in April from 6 – 8:30 p.m.  This year’s Tunes & Blooms concert series, presented by Macy’s, will kick off with a performance by the Zoo’s very own Cecil Jackson! When Cecil isn’t working with elephants, he sings and plays bluegrass music all over the region. He’s good enough to quit his day job but loves the animals too much to do that!

While you’re here, step into spring with the colorful force of more than 100,000 tulips! As one of only two accredited botanical gardens in Ohio, the Cincinnati Zoo is home to one of the largest tulip displays in the Midwest. Zoo Blooms also features more than one million daffodils, hyacinths, flowering trees, shrubs and other spring bulbs.

The April 19th concert will include an Earth Day “Party for the Planet” celebration.  Businesses and organizations from around the region will be on hand at the #GreenestZooinAmerica to share their expertise and resources about living more sustainably within our communities. Topics include solar energy, composting, recycling, energy efficiency, green building, rain gardens/barrels, sustainable food, green products, and much more!

Tunes & Blooms admission is free after 5pm. Parking is $10. Tunes & Blooms is FREE with general Zoo admission.
