Black-casqued hornbill

Ceratogymna atrata

The black-casqued wattled hornbill’s blaring calls carry more than a mile through the forest. Hunters mimic the bird’s call to attract hornbills to the area, making it easy to bag many birds in a short time, which are then sold at market for their meat.
