Blue-eyed Cormorant

Phalacrocorax atriceps

The blue-eyed cormorant is a fishing bird, diving to depths of  more than 80 feet in search of prey.  Webbing between its toes turns its feet into large paddles for pursuing prey underwater.  A sharp nail on the tip of the beak helps the bird grasp prey.
