Margay

Leopardus wiedii

Margays are felines that are adapted for a true arboreal life. It is the only cat to possess the ability to rotate its hind legs 180° , so that it can run head first down a tree like a squirrel.   The margay is often confused for it’s relative the ocelot since their coats and size are similar.
