General Questions About Visiting the Zoo

Hours

For schools, the Zoo is open daily at 9:00am-5:00pm and 9:00am-6:00pm Memorial Day through Labor Day.  

Plan ahead and check out a map of the Zoo.
Is the Zoo Handicap Accessible?

Yes, all exhibits and facilities are handicapped accessible. If need be, the Zoo has standard wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs for rent. We have limited inventory and provide these items on a first come, first serve basis.

Visiting the Zoo with a Group?

Did you know we offer group rates? School groups are invited to visit the Zoo for only $5 per students Learn More>. Non-School groups are also eligible for group discounts Learn More>.

 

Zoo Birthday Parties

The Zoo offers birthday parties January-November on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30am and 2pm. Check out the Zoo Birthday Party FAQs before booking your party.

 

Overnights at the Zoo

The Zoo offers overnights year round for school, scout, church, family groups and more! Everything you need to know about an overnight can be found in the Overnight Planner.

 

Zoo Camps

If you have a child registered for Zoo Camp check out the Camp Welcome Letter (PDF), Camp Dismissal/Contact Form (PDF), and Camp FAQs (PDF).

According to the IRS the cost of specialty camps can qualify for the child care credit. This includes the cost of computer camps, soccer camps and the like. The child must be under 13 and the expenses must be incurred so the parent or parents can work. For more information contact you tax accountant or visit this area on the IRS website.
