Spend the night at the wildest place in town!

Join the Zoo’s overnight program, Nocturnal Adventures, for special evenings designed for parents and children, age 5 and up. During the program, you will hike the Zoo, go behind the scenes, experience live animal encounters, and engage in other exciting activities. Awake to peacock and gibbon calls, have breakfast, and then enjoy a special animal show.

 Who can participate?

  • Children and Adults 5 years old and up.

When are Family Nights available?

  • Year round. See below for dates and topics.
  • Family Overnight start at 6pm. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early.

How much are Family Nights?

  • $30/ Member, $35/ Non-Member

Where do Family Nights take place?

  • Camp Out participants will sleep outside near the Education Center, behind the Giraffe Ridge exhibit.
  • Sleep with the Manatees participants sleep in the Manatees Springs building.
  • Most other family overnights sleep in the Harold C. Schott Education Center.

Family Sleep With The ManateesDid you know that the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is on of only two institutions outside of Florida that rescue and rehabilitate manatees? Come experience a once-in-a-lifetime sleepover with these gentle giants! During the overnight you will enjoy two sneak peaks behind the scenes, hike the Zoo at night, play games, experience animal encounters and fall asleep with our resi- dent manatees, 2,000 pound Betsy and little 300 pound Abigail.

Family Safari Camp Out Families with children 5 years old and up are invited to prowl the Zoo at night in search of predators from Africa and beyond and learn about the vital role of predators and humans in a healthy ecosystem. Bring your own tent and sleeping bag and camp out next to the new African exhibit under the stars at the Zoo!

August 2: 6pm - 9am
Family “HOWL”-OWEEN OvernightFamilies and children 5 years old and up will explore the world of wolves and other “top dogs” at the Zoo! While prowling around at night, you will learn what makes predators so special. Don’t forget your Halloween costumes! HallZoow- een takes place the next day from noon-5pm and your little ghouls can trick-or- treat their way around the Zoo at no extra charge!

Sunset Safari Want to experience the Zoo late at night but would rather sleep in your own bed? During Sunset Safari you will enjoy an up-close animal encounter, night hike through the Zoo and a peak behind the scenes.
