A team of human cardiologists, technicians and corporate partners made the house call to the Cincinnati Zoo’s Gorilla World exhibit recently to perform an awake cardiac ultrasound (also known as an echocardiogram or an echo) on Jomo. Zuri Gets a Checkup & A New Cast
CINCINNATI, OH (May 31, 2011) – “Zuri,” the Cincinnati Zoo’s eight-week-old baby giraffe, received her first checkup since injuring her leg on May 19. Zuri Injures Leg
CINCINNATI, OH (May 20, 2011) – The Cincinnati Zoo’s seven-week-old baby giraffe, “Zuri” injured her leg yesterday in her indoor stall at Giraffe Ridge. When the first keeper arrived early Thursday morning, he noted that Zuri was lying down as usual when he went in to feed. Night Hunters Opening at the Cincinnati Zoo
CINCINNATI – This Saturday, May 21, the Cincinnati Zoo will reopen the Cat House under its new name, Night Hunters. The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s 47-year-old Nocturnal House will be closing its doors to the public the weekend of Friday, the 13th, appropriately. With the opening of the new Night Hunters exhibit on May 21, the last day to experience the Zoo’s Nocturnal House will be Sunday, May 15. Cincinnati Zoo’s Baby Giraffe is One-Month-Old
Zuri, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s female baby giraffe turns one-month-old TODAY! Over the weekend, Zuri was introduced to her outdoor yard, with her mom, Tessa. Zuri loved her time outside and is excited to be spending more time in the great outdoors, weather permitting.
