Best Time to See Tulips = NOW!

It’s Bloomin’ Awesome at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden  

tulipsCINCINNATI – (April 10, 2015)  The colorful force of more than 100,000 tulips is taking over the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical! This weekend and into next week will be peak bloom time in the #ZooGarden and a prime opportunity for garden enthusiasts to visit. As one of only two accredited botanical gardens in Ohio, the Cincinnati Zoo offers one of the largest tulip displays in the Midwest. Zoo Blooms, presented by Macy’s, also features more than one million daffodils, hyacinths, flowering trees, shrubs and other spring bulbs.

To accompany the first blooms of the year, the Cincinnati Zoo will feature FREE concerts every Thursday evening during Zoo Blooms from 6 – 8:30 p.m. Admission is free after 5 p.m. (Parking not included).  The Tunes & Blooms concert series, presented by Macy’s, features a variety of Cincinnati’s finest and most-respected music veterans playing together in the Zoo’s beautiful gardens.

Why tip-toe through the tulips when you can rock the garden? Performances include:

  • Hickory Robot and Buffalo Wabs & the Price Hill Hustle (April 16),
  • The Cliftones (April 23)
  • Plastic Ants and Green Light Morning (April 30).
  • Honey & Houston and the Tillers (May 6 – rescheduled from rained out April 2),
  • Jake Speed & the Freddies and Shiny and the Spoon (May 7 – rescheduled from rained out April 9)

Zoo Blooms, presented by Macy’s, is FREE with general Zoo admission.
