Cincinnati Zoo Celebrates First Responders Posted September 9, 2021Front line workers and military get free Zoo admission 9/11 – 9/17 CINCINNATI, OH (September 9, 2021) – The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is honoring those who protect our community by offering free admission to all active fire, police, and safety personnel September 11 – 17. The offer will also be extended to active and retired military. “There are so many people out there working hard to keep us safe and healthy, and we want to show them our appreciation,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. During First Responders Week, sponsored by JP Morgan Chase, qualified personnel* may also purchase admission tickets at 50% off for up to six family members. Since our staff must verify ID and eligibility, tickets cannot be purchased/reserved online and must be picked up at the Zoo. *Individuals who qualify for free admission include firefighters, EMTs, uniformed police officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, investigators, evidence technicians, firearms examiners, crime lab technicians, 911 dispatchers, correction officers, handwriting examiners, intelligence analysts, investigative assistants, and all members of the military (active and retired).
