Cincinnati Zoo Invites You to Trick-or-Treat with the Animals

CINCINNATI – Trick-or-treating has never been so much fun.  Don’t miss HallZOOween, presented by Frisch’s Big Boy, October 9-10, 16-17 & 23-24, from Noon – 5 p.m. at the Cincinnati Zoo & BOO-tanical Garden.  Children (12 and under) can fill up their goodie bag as they trick-or-treat through the Zoo. Help the Zoo Go Green and bring your own goodie bag! Along the way, you may encounter Pumpkin Pandemonium – the Zoo’s animal version of trick-or-treating.

Your little monsters can get their fingers painted or get a cool Zoo tattoo in the Beauty Shop of Horrors. The Zoo also invites guests to witness one of the best magical entertainers – Phil Dalton’s Theater of Illusion.  Not only will he play tricks on your minds with his illusions but he will also play tricks on your eyes with his sleight of hand. The show takes place each Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Wings of Wonder Theater.

NEW this year guests will be among the first in the country to view The Wizard of OZ 4-D Experience playing in the Zoo’s Special FX 4-D Theater!  This beloved classic becomes a modern adventure in The Wizard of OZ 4-D Experience.  Newly restored in digital 3-D with added special effects, be swept along with Dorothy as a powerful tornado transports you on an unforgettable adventure to the magical land of Oz.  (There is an additional cost for this attraction.)  (TM & © Turner Entertainment Co. Also new for 2010, Search for the Golden Frisch’s Big Boy!  Two golden big boy statues will be hidden around the Zoo each day of Hallzooween.  The two lucky visitors that find them will get to choose from a Frisch’s prize package or a Cincinnati Zoo prize package, both valued at $150.

In addition Zoo guests will also enjoy Giant Pumpkin Carving Demonstrations, Frisch’s Pumpkin Patch, Halloween Animal Meet & Greets, spooktacular Train Rides and the Scare-ousel.

The Cincinnati Zoo opens daily at 9 a.m.  HallZOOween, presented by Frisch’s Big Boy, takes place Noon – 5 p.m. and is FREE with Zoo Admission. Admission prices are $14/adults, $9/children (2-12) and children under two are FREE. Parking is $7. For more information, visit www.cincinnatizoo.org.
