USA TODAY’s 10Best editors announced this morning that Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden took the top spot in the Best Zoo category in its 2019 Summer Readers’ Choice poll!

“We were honored to be chosen as one of the 20 nominees for Best Zoo and were in great company that included the top Zoos in the Nation,” said Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard. “The Cincinnati community loves their Zoo and got behind us as soon as the poll was announced.  We thank everyone who voted to make us the Best Zoo in the Nation!”

This award announcement comes just months after the Cincinnati Zoo’s PNC Festival of Lights won USA TODAY’s 2018 10Best Poll for Best Zoo Lights!
