Program also offers off-site options for senior citizens and groups

CINCINNATI (August 30, 2019) – If you’re not able to come to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, the Zoo can come to you!  The Zoo inspires more than 25,000 students with wildlife annually by taking animal ambassadors to schools through its Zoo on the Move program, presented by Frisch’s.

“Schools are our primary audience for off-site programs, but we’re also able to take animals to some private group functions and have recently expanded Zoo on the Move to include options for senior citizens,” said Thane Maynard, Cincinnati Zoo Director.  “Many members of the senior community have fond memories of the Zoo but can no longer visit.  Thanks to Frisch’s program sponsorship, we can give them a unique trip down memory lane.”

School programs, available from September 1 – June 1, are based on academic standards and include a variety of activities tailored for four different age groups (pre-1, grades 1-3, grades 4-6, grades 7-12).  Programs for after school, summer camps and scouts are also available.

In a more intimate setting, limit 30-40 people, a knowledgeable Zoo educator will engage your group in a fun and interactive program highlighting the amazing adaptations and survival stories of three Zoo animal ambassadors. Participants will have the opportunity to touch and/or interact with animals!

Cincinnati Zoo opens daily at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. (5 p.m. after Labor Day).  Cincinnati Zoo members enjoy early entry at 9 a.m.  For more information visit www.cincinnatizoo.org.
