Invite a Cincinnati Zoo Animal to Your Next Virtual Meeting Posted April 30, 2020 Cincinnati ZOOm calls with Fiona and friends available now! CINCINNATI, OH (April 30, 2020) – The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, which has been closed since March 15, is now offering to make some of its animals available for your next corporate virtual meetings or happy hours. Heads will turn when you invite Fiona the hippo, Rico the porcupine, or a Zoo giraffe to your next video call. “We’ve all been on countless video calls at this point, and I know that I would love to see a new face in the mix,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “Imagine the look on your co-workers’ faces when they see Fiona on the agenda! I’m sure the chat would fill up with questions for the world’s most famous hippo!” All animal calls are 15 minutes long and can be customized according to the caller’s request. Any conferencing platform can be used. The client just sends the animal an invitation to a meeting they’re hosting. “We’re starting with Fiona, Rico and the giraffes but may add to that list if the concept takes off,” said Maynard. “I’m sure that people would love to address the elephant in the ZOOm!” Funds raised via Cincinnati ZOOm meetings will go directly to its Emergency Operating Fund, so adding animals to your meeting is fun and also helps the Zoo with its urgent need for revenue.
