Party for the Planet – An Earth Day Celebration!

WHAT: Celebrate Earth Day with a Party for the Planet at the Greenest Zoo in America!   The Celebration kicks off on Thursday April 21, with a FREE concert during Tunes & Blooms, from 6-8:30 p.m.! This night of music in the garden will feature the sounds of local favorites; The Tillers and The Seedy Seeds!

The party continues with 25+ exhibitors on hand to share their expertise and resources about living more sustainably within their communities. Topics include solar energy, composting, recycling, green building, rain gardens/barrels, sustainable food, green products, and many more.

Tunes & Blooms” is a collection of Cincinnati’s finest and most-respected music veterans playing together in the Zoo’s beautiful gardens, for FREE, after 5 p.m. every Thursday in April.  (Parking not included. Beer & wine will be available for purchase.) **In the event of rain, the concerts will be moved to an indoor location.

WHEN:          Tunes & Blooms, 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The Tillers originated from a group of friends thumping together with a couple of banjos, guitars, and a big wooden bass. Since they joined forces in 2007, they have been winning over the Cincinnati bar and festival scene. In 2009 they were awarded for Best Folk and American Act by Cincinnati Entertainment Award. The Seedy Seeds are back for another Tunes & Blooms bringing their infectious harmonies, amazing live performances and unforgettable pop hooks.
