Cincinnati Zoo Selected as Finalist in Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden has been named a Finalist in the Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program among 500 other nonprofits from more than 4,000 applicants.  The program will award 100 vehicles to 100 nonprofits over the course of 100 days based on votes from the public.  The Zoo will be competing against four other non-profit organizations on Tuesday, May 15 for the most votes.  The organization that receives the most votes on that ONE DAY – May 15, will receive a new Toyota!

The Cincinnati Zoo plans to use the donated Toyota vehicle in its education Outreach Program.  The Zoo’s education programs reach over 300,000 people in the Tri-state each year through schools, scout groups, church groups, senior groups and more. These programs introduce people to animals through experiences that foster a sense of wonder, share knowledge, and encourage involvement with wildlife and wild places. The Zoo and the many people who enjoy the Zoo’s outreach programs would greatly benefit from a new Toyota so they may continue to reach more people with its knowledgeable educators and animal ambassadors. And, as the greenest Zoo in America, a Prius V would be the ideal vehicle for the Cincinnati Zoo!
