New information regarding our new entrance- Frequenty Asked Questions

Please carefully read the NEW directions to access the Zoo's NEW Historic Vine Street Village entrance!

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden
3400 Vine Street
Cincinnati, OH 45220

You can get door-to-door driving directions via GoogleMaps.

Frequently asked questions:

1. Will the Dury Avenue entrance still be used?

Only during peak times (weekends with good weather) and for overflow parking. All other times guests will be directed to the Vine Street parking lot and entrance. The Zoo will continue to utilize the Dury Avenue entrance for bus parking until further notice.

2. How quickly can I expect to access parking at the new entrance?

It is important to remember when planning your visit to the Zoo that on days with good weather it is busiest between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. You can arrive early or come later and not only avoid some of the lines but also see our animals when they are most active! You may experience some delays during peak entry times.

We have changed our procedure to collect the parking fee when guests exit the parking lot on peak times to bring traffic in off of the street faster (Members with parking will not be charged parking). Also, during peak times, the Zoo will open up all parking lots (new and old) to bring in traffic through multiple entrances. These two measures will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce wait times. Please remember however that like any public attraction, there will always be some wait times when we are very busy.

3. How do I enter through the new entrance if I have a stroller or wheelchair?

The Vine Street Pavillion has two large elevators for convenient stroller and wheelchair access. The elevators have been programmed to operate in a manner to avoid unnecessary delays for our guests.

4. Can I still bring in my own food and cooler?

Yes, the Zoo is proud to be one of the only places left in the region that allows guests to bring in their own food. The Vine Street Pavillion (before you cross the Pedestrian Bridge) has some seating, and the New Historic Vine Street Village entrance has a large amount of seating where guests will find adequate space to eat their own food. Additionally, we are proud to offer our members 25% off on all food, making our food one of the best values in the City among other attractions!

5. Do members have a separate entrance?

All Zoo guests enter our parking lot(s) in the same manner. Members and those who have already purchased a ticket online after crossing into Historic Vine Street Village conveniently proceed directly to turnstiles for express scanning and entry! Zoo Members may enter through any/all turnstiles. Please have your membership card and photo I.D. available for quicker entry.

Our new entrance and parking offer the easiest to find and most convenient access into the Zoo. During peak times (10:00am - 2:00pm during good weather, weekends) you may be directed to another surface lot by signage, police and/or Zoo Security personnel.
