Another great way to support the Zoo is by volunteering. The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is blessed with almost 800 volunteers! We have volunteers of all ages, from 13 to 95! There are volunteer opportunities in many areas of the Zoo, including: Education, Horticulture, Special Events, Clerical Work, Ambassadors, Craft Making or working with CREW, our research facility.
Volunteers receive many special privileges including educational opportunities, social events with other volunteers, discounts at our restaurants and gift shops, and the monthly newsletter specifically for volunteers.

Our summer VolunTeen program is very popular and is open to teens from 13-17 years of age. The deadline for this program is March 1, 2009. This program fills up very quickly, so be sure to get your application materials (PDF) in early!

We also have a terrific Intern program for college students or recent college graduates. We offer three sessions a year, Winter, Summer, and Fall. An internship at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is very coveted and is a great asset to include on a resume. Learn more about internship opportunities at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Information Sessions for prospective volunteers are offered several times a year. If you are interested in our volunteer program, please call us at (513-) 559-7736 or email volunteers@cincinnatizoo.org to find out when our next session is planned. We would be happy to have you join our ranks!
