Cincinnati Zoo’s Shopping Guide: On Giving Tuesday, Give Gifts That Give Back
Fill your stockings with gifts that support the zoo!
CINCINNATI (November 30, 2021) – If you’re looking for a gift for the Fiona lover in your life, you’re in luck. The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden has the 2022 Fiona and Friends Calendar, a new Fiona ornament, books and more in its gift shops and online that will delight fans of the famous hippo and benefit the Zoo. Make sure they don’t miss Fiona’s 5th birthday party– virtual celebration by giving and invitation to attend, which also makes you eligible to win a one-of-a-kind hippo table!
“There are also plenty of non-Fiona-themed items for the animal lover in your life,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “You can A.D.O.P.T any animal at the Zoo for the person who has everything! I bet they don’t have a hissing cockroach!”
Now is a great time to purchase a gift that can be used all year long. The Zoo is offering 10% off gift memberships through the end of December. Wild Encounters close-up animal experiences, the new book Answering the Call of the Wild: The Remarkable Life of Cathryn Hosea Hilker, Behind the Scenes tours and gift certificates towards education programs are perfect for those who want to learn something new!
A donation to the Zoo’s More Home to Roam campaign will help make Elephant Trek a reality! And now, thanks to a generous donor, all gifts to More Home to Roam will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000,000 including those that are part of the Cincinnati Gives Challenge!
Or, give the gift of travel! Destinations for a Zoo-led trip scheduled for 2022 include Mexico and the Arctic.
A limited number of Fiona Garden Statues, created by world-famous artist Tom Tsuchiya, are available for purchase but won’t be shipped until spring of 2022. HINT: Wrap a photo of the statue to give as a holiday gift and let the recipient know that the real thing will come later!
Thanks for considering a gift to the Cincinnati Zoo on #GivingTuesday.
