CINCINNATI, OH (March 9, 2015) – Green will be the new black on March 26 as Cincy Chic hosts its sixth annual Eco-Chic fashion show. Expect to see special animal ambassadors from the “Greenest Zoo in America®” at this year’s event! The event will also feature local artists and businesses and an eco-chic hair/make up fashion show with DAAP student fashion designs.
Hosted at ADC, located at 310 Culvert St., 5th Floor in Cincinnati, the Eco-Chic fashion show will take place Thursday, March 26 from 6-9pm. Tickets are $10 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Cincinnati Zoo. Guest may also bring gently used clothes or household items that can be donated to Saint Vincent DePaul.
“Even though it is the second oldest zoo in the country, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is also the greenest – proving that old infrastructure, strong commitment, and practical innovation can lead a Zoo, or any institution, to a green, efficient, and sustainable operation,” says Sophia Cifuentes Sustainability Coordinator for the Zoo. “Over the past seven years, our sustainability program has resulted in millions of dollars in utility savings, a plummeting carbon footprint, a culture shift among our staff and community, and a reputation as a national leader in sustainability through green building, solid waste management, renewable energy, water conservation, storm water management, energy efficiency and community outreach.”
Attendees can shop local businesses, enjoy refreshments, meet and greet with zoo animals, enjoy a freeze modeling fashion show, and a swag bag valued at $250. Plus, receive a raffle ticket for each gently used item brought for donation. More event details available at: www.cincychic.com/events
