Cincinnati Zoo Celebrates Diversity and Biodiversity this Weekend

PRIDE Day and Pollinator Carnival events set to spread love and pollen

(CINCINNATI – June 24, 2022) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is celebrating biodiversity and diversity this weekend with two themed events.  The annual Pollinator Carnival will take place this Saturday, June 25, and will include stations where visitors can learn more about the important job that pollinators have in keeping our ecosystem healthy.  The first-ever PRIDE Day at the Zoo will be held this Sunday, June 26, and will feature rainbow-themed enrichment for the animals throughout the day.

“The Cincinnati Zoo celebrates the diversity of our plants & animals, staff, visitors, and community, and we are committed to making it a place where differences are recognized, welcomed, and celebrated,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “We’re proud to inspire every visitor with wildlife every day!”

Visitors can add FREE rainbow sprinkles to ice cream orders all weekend, thanks to the Zoo’s retail and food partner, SSA Group. And the gift shop will feature merchandise items from the Zoo PRIDE Collection.

The Zoo is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.  Members are welcome to enter at 9 a.m.
