It’s Peak Bloom Time at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

 CINCINNATI, OH (April 13, 2021) – It’s a great time for gardening enthusiasts, photographers, and nature lovers to visit the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden to take in the beauty of the gardens! Zoo Blooms, presented by Performance Lexus and Performance Lexus Rivercenter, is spectacular this year.

“We’re in the middle of peak bloom time now,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard.  “There are thousands of tulips in bloom, and the hyacinths, daffodils, flowering trees, and shrubs add even more color to the park.  It’s my favorite time of year.”

While you’re here, take our Zoo Blooms Walking Tour. Access the tour via the Echoes app, this link, or with the provided QR code, and you’ll be all set to get a tour of the botanical garden led by Cincinnati Zoo’s director of horticulture, Steve Foltz.

Other events to enjoy in April include the Rain Barrel Art Auction and The Red Door Project.  Both events feature local artists.  Visitors can view hand-painted barrels at the Zoo now – April 30, and barrel bidding starts April 20. Spend an evening at the Zoo on Earth Day viewing The Red Door Project’s pop-up art gallery. The exhibit and silent auction are free and open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Zoo Blooms is included with Zoo Admission.The Cincinnati Zoo opens daily at 10 a.m.  Reservations are required. Early Entry allows members to make reservations for 9 a.m and 9:30 a.m spots.  Reservations are not required for members from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Thursday.  Memberships are worth their wild and are on sale now!
