Last Weekend to Enjoy PNC Festival of Lights

40th year of PNC Festival of Lights is coming to a close

CINCINNATI (January 6, 2023) –  Only three more nights to enjoy PNC Festival of Lights, voted Best Zoo Lights by USA TODAY’s readers five years in a row, at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.

“It’s not too late to make lasting memories this holiday season,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard.  “Santa has returned to the North Pole, but the Zoo is still shining bright and makes a great backdrop for selfies or family photos.”

The spectacular lights are the main attraction during PNC Festival of Lights. Visitors coming to see animals should come earlier in the day or visit indoor habitats such as World of the Insect, Manatee Springs, and Night Hunters during the evening hours.

Penguin Days presented by US Bank start January 9 and feature deeply discounted admission and Penguin Parades on select days. The first parade will take place on Friday, January 13.

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden opens daily at 10 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. Sunday – Thursdays and 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays during PNC Festival of Lights. Starting Monday, January 9, Zoo hours will shift back to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. For more information, visit cincinnatizoo.org
