Rides, Animal Encounters, and Early Entry for Members Resume this Weekend

Spring season brings more reasons to visit Cincinnati Zoo

CINCINNATI, OH (March 10, 2022) – This weekend marks the official start of Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s spring season!  Rides, animal encounters, and giraffe feedings resume, and new blooms are popping up all over the garden.

“This is my favorite time of year at the Zoo,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard.  “Visitors are smiling and happy to be back outside enjoying nature, the gardens come to life, and more animals are out and about.”

Starting this Saturday, March 12, visitors can ride the Safari Express Train, sponsored by Superior Credit Union, and the Conservation Carousel!  The new Kanga’ Klimb aerial adventure course will reopen in April (now hiring course guides).

Early Entry also resumes this weekend, so members will be able to enter at 9 a.m.!  Memberships are on sale now, so this is a great time to join the pride and take advantage of all the perks!

Visitors can walk with kangaroos and see the Zoo’s little blue penguin colony, including new chicks Rose and Cup o Joe Burrow, swim in their habitat in Roo Valley. Check the animal encounters schedule before you visit so you can fit giraffe feedings, presented by Chick-Fil-A, and goat yard interactions into your day!  Use the mobile map app to find your favorite animals, food locations, and special announcements.

The Zoo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. For more information on what’s happening, visit cincinnatizoo.org.
