The gorilla is the largest living primate. Despite its massive size and ferocious reputation, the gorilla is actually a peaceful and social animal. Gorillas and humans are close relatives, and share many things in common. Enjoy breakfast at our brand new gorilla habitat where floor to ceiling viewing glass allows you to connect with these intelligent and personable creatures. One of our head keepers will provide fascinating stories of their personal experiences and fun facts about our fascinating gorilla family group.

The Vine Parking lot will open at 7:15am for your arrival. Please present your admission ticket to the turnstiles staff in order to enter the Zoo. Directions to the Vine Street Parking Lot will be emailed to you and there will be signs in the Zoo leading you to the event site. Present your parking pass to the lot attendants upon exiting. A detailed itinerary will be emailed to you closer to the event date.

Marked with jagged spots, the Masai Giraffe, also known as the Kilimanjaro Giraffe, is the largest subspecies of giraffe. As the tallest animals in the world, giraffes have a clear view of their surroundings on the African savanna. Enjoy breakfast at eye level with these graceful creatures while a keeper chats with you about giraffe facts and their own personal stories.

From trunk to toe, Asia’s largest land mammal displays some amazing adaptations to life as a forest-dwelling herbivore. It is most famous for its trunk, which is indispensable for feeding, drinking, smelling, touching, communicating, and bathing. Watch as our male elephant, Sabu, is offered enrichment that encourages natural behaviors. Enjoy an up-close, unique breakfast experience with our African Cheetahs! The cheetah plays an important role as a predator on the African savannah. The fastest animal on land, the cheetah can reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour over short distances. A sleek body, flexible backbone, long legs, non-retractable claws, and muscular tail assist the cheetah during high speed chases.

Breakfast with the Painted Dogs – Sold Out

For African painted dogs, also known as wild dogs, cooperation is the name of the game and survival is the aim. Painted dogs live in large, extended families, in which all group members work together for the good of the pack. Come face to face with the elaborate greeting ceremonies complete with leaping, face-licking, tail-wagging, and squealing are the social glue that bonds the pack together. A head keeper will share fun facts and personal experiences about our pack.

Enjoy an up-close, unique breakfast experience with our Red Pandas!

What is this frosty-faced beauty of ringed tail and rust-colored fur? Some call it fire fox, shining cat, cloud bear, or Himalayan raccoon. Though similar in character and appearance to raccoons and bears, the tree-dwelling, bamboo-munching red panda is in a family of its own.

Made for a life in the trees, the red panda travels through the canopy with ease. Not only is the panda a great climber, it is also an amazing jumper, clearing distances up to five feet. Hair on the bottom of its feet keeps the panda from slipping on branches.

The sloth is not lazy, just slow. Instead of foraging all day long to get enough energy from the leaves it eats, the sloth conserves energy by being inactive. This requires few heavy muscles, making the sloth light enough to climb high on thin branches where it can feed without worrying about jaguars.

Early admission and parking are included, as well as a full breakfast buffet with coffee, juice, and a Mimosa bar. Event is from 7:00am – 9:00am.

Also called the sea cow, the manatee is the only herbivorous mammal specially designed to live its entire life in the water. The Cincinnati Zoo is one of two U.S. Zoos outside of Florida that participate in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Manatee Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release Program. Have breakfast inside the manatee exhibit and visit with our 3 new baby boys, Miles, Pippen, and Matthew while their care team talks with you about their story and other amazing facts.
