While the hippos enjoy their enrichment items, viewers will discover their varied and sometimes surprising personalities. A head keeper will provide fascinating stories of their personal experiences and fun facts about our amazing hippo family.

Due to the sensitive nature and delicate health of our hippos, all members of the family may not be present at this event.

Also called the sea cow, the manatee is the only herbivorous mammal specially designed to live its entire life in the water. The Cincinnati Zoo is one of two U.S. Zoos outside of Florida that participate in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Manatee Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release Program. Have breakfast inside the manatee exhibit and visit with our 3 new baby boys, Miles, Pippen, and Matthew while their care team talks with you about their story and other amazing facts.

The gorilla is the largest living primate. Despite its massive size and ferocious reputation, the gorilla is actually a peaceful and social animal. Gorillas and humans are close relatives, and share many things in common. Enjoy breakfast at our brand new gorilla habitat where floor to ceiling viewing glass allows you to connect with these intelligent and personable creatures.
