Thank you to our Polar Bear Challenge Partners:

The Young Family Foundation

The Reuben Herzfeld Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation

Are you ready to take the Challenge?

Right here at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, a team of researchers led by CREW Director, Dr. Terri Roth, are racing against the clock to save the polar bear. Leading a team of zoos across the continental United States, CREW researchers are saving polar bears with science. Through extensive hormone research, they hope to create a successful captive breeding program while extending their research to bears in the wild.

Thanks to the support of our community, we not only met the 2013 Polar Bear Challenge, but exceeded it with a total of $38,345 to support CREW’s Polar Bear Conservation Project!

Combined with the maximum $35,000 in matching funds provided by the Young Family Foundation and Reuben Herzfeld Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, we have raised over $73,000 at assist CREW scientists as they work to create a stable future for the polar bear.
