Pileated gibbons are known as frugivores, meaning that they mostly eat fruit. They don’t have to travel very far to find ripe fruits to eat. Figs make up over 1/4 of a gibbon’s diet.
Did you Know?
Pileated gibbons are known for their ``duets`` which are distinct calls begun by the female. The male gibbon joins the female's ``great call`` with a shorter grouping of calls part way through the duet. Usually, these duets take place in the morning!
