Membership 
Creature Connections is a small group of dedicated people at the Cincinnati Zoo who curate intimate animal encounters with pediatric patients and their loved ones. This program is made possible through collaborative relationships with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Pets for Patients and Ronald McDonald House Cincinnati. It is generously supported by a private donor.
The heart of Creature Connections is creating unique memories and highlighting the special link between humans and animals. Each encounter takes into account individual needs such as differing physical abilities and animal preferences.
Program participants are selected by their care team at RMH and CCHMC.
Meet the Team
The Creature Connections team is comprised of zoo team members from various departments trained to work with the animal ambassadors that join in these programs.
Team Members include Myra Bhatnagar, Tami Ware, Meredith Hughes, Shae Burns, Ellen Naydenov, Carol Bonner and Lisa Hubbard.
