Run Your Socks Off at Cincinnati Zoo’s Cheetah Run 5K

Pre-registration closes August 20.  Race is August 27.

CINCINNATI, OH (August 17, 2017)  Join the fun at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for the Cheetah Run 5K on Sunday, August 27.  Saturday, August 20, is the last day to pre-register and receive a race shirt and fun tube socks that are sure to help you speed through the course!

“There’s no other run like this in Cincinnati. The course winds through our beautiful Zoo, and family and friends can come with you to cheer you on,” said Zoo Director Thane Maynard. “I’ve run the race more times than I can remember, and I’ll be back again this year looking stylish in my tube socks!”


Proceeds from the Cheetah Run 5K benefit the Cincinnati Zoo, one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the city. Participation fees help the Zoo continue to provide world-class care for the animals you love! Registration is $35 for members and $40 for non-members. August 20th is the last day to pre-register for the race and receive a T-shirt and tube socks.  Race day registration does not include a shirt or socks.

The Cheetah Run 5K is chip timed to give real-time, accurate race results. Participants will also receive post-race refreshments and Zoo admission! The race will start and finish in the Safari Camp Parking Lot.

After the race, children 12 and under can participate in a FREE Cheetah “Cub” Fun Run.  Registration is not required.
