Cincinnati Zoo is Offering Hamilton County Residents Half-Price Admission This Weekend

CINCINNATI, OH (August 17, 2026) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is offering Hamilton County residents half-price admission Friday August 21 through Sunday, August 23.

“We are happy to offer deeply discounted tickets as a ‘thank you” for the support that we receive from our neighbors,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Dave Jenike. “We want to make sure that all Hamilton County residents are able to enjoy their hometown Zoo.”

Guests can feed giraffe, experience the Ameritas Wings of Wonder, the Cheetah Encounter and Barnyard Bonanza.  Check this schedule for times. 

Be sure to visit fan favorites like the nine Asian small-clawed otters, including three new pups, Shrimp, Guppy and Mackerel, baby gorilla Mboka Jo, hippos Fiona and Fritz and plenty of lush plant-lined paths and garden beds.

Tickets for Hamilton County Appreciation Days, brought to you by Hamilton County, can be purchased online in advance. A valid Hamilton County photo ID will be checked upon entry.

The Zoo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Members get Early Entry and are welcome to enter the Zoo at 9 a.m.
