*All birthday parties require adult supervision.  All patrons, including parents, entering the Zoo must have an admission ticket. 

**Parking fee included for all adult guests. Parking spots cannot be guaranteed due to limited capacity.  On busy days, we recommend telling your guests to arrive early.

FAQs

Can I bring outside food for my party?

A: All food must be provided by the Cincinnati Zoo’s Caterer, SSA. * Please make sure to provide us with any allergies that anyone may have. *

However, outside desserts or cakes may be provided by the birthday host.

What ages are your parties best suited for?

A: Our parties are best suited for children, aged 3 to 10.  We are able to book parties for adults as well, however, the programming is based on children.  For a more customized experience, please reach out to our Private Events Team

Can I bring decorations?

A: Yes, you can! The only restrictions are balloons, pinatas, confetti/glitter, and thumbtacks. We do not provide decorations for your party.

Am I able to add extra time onto my party?

A: Possibly!  The party host will get access to the reserved room 30 minutes prior to event rental start for set-up.  There is also a $50 charge for every extra 30 minutes you would like.  This depends on how many birthday parties there are on the day.  This cannot be planned on the day-of, it must be discussed prior.

Will an animal encounter be included?

A: All Sunday birthday parties include a small animal visit! This consists of snakes, lizards, turtles/tortoises, or hissing cockroaches. Saturday birthday parties include complimentary giraffe feeding vouchers to use at your leisure.

*DISCLAIMER* You will not be able to choose an animal for your party, it is all up to which animal wants to come out that day. You are able to suggest an animal, but it is not guaranteed.

If my guests already have a membership, will they have to pay extra?

A: No, members do not have to pay anything extra for zoo entry. They will be able to enter the zoo how they normally would.

How much do additional tickets cost after the 10 included tickets in the birthday package?

A: Extra tickets after the 10 included tickets will be $10.00 each (Any-Age tickets).

Where will my guests and I park?

A: The host of the party will be able to park in the Education Building parking lot.  All other party guests can park in any of the zoo’s main parking lots, or they also have the option of street parking.

Will I have a rain-plan option if I book the Lale'enok space?

A: Yes!  We will have a room held in our Treetops event space in case of inclement weather.
