“It’s wonderful to be recognized for being a great Botanical Garden AND Zoo,” said Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden director Thane Maynard.

The Cincinnati Zoo is not just a place to see your favorite animals like Fiona the hippo and Rico the porcupine; the gardens at the Zoo offer prominent seasonal displays, including a large and popular tulip display in April, Zoo Blooms, and free concerts in the garden on Thursdays in April during Tunes & Blooms. Through the Lindner Center for Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife’s (CREW) programs, and community outreach, the Zoo continues to make a significant impact on the preservation of biodiversity and Saving Species with Science®.

“We invite everyone to come and experience the beauty and wonder of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden,” Maynard added. “Whether you’re a plant enthusiast, wildlife lover, or simply seeking a peaceful escape into nature, there is something here for everyone to enjoy.”

Visitors can explore the award-winning Botanical Garden & Zoo all year round. The Zoo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Members get Early Entry and are welcome to enter the Zoo at 9 a.m. Memberships are on sale, and now is the best time to join the Zoo family!
