“Our very own elephant manager, Cecil Jackson, will be performing with his band tonight.  In addition to being an elephant whisperer, Cecil is one of the most talented bluegrass artists in the region,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard.  “Add peak blooms and nice weather, and you’ve got a guaranteed great night at the Zoo.  And it’s FREE!”

Easter Celebration, happening this weekend from noon – 5, is free with Zoo admission and for members (Memberships, sponsored by Thomas & Galbraith, are on sale now – April 30). The celebration is FREE with Zoo Admission and will feature animals receiving Easter-themed enrichment throughout the day and Treat Stations through the Zoo. To help the Zoo go green, please bring your own treat bag! Children can also meet the Easter Bunny in the Zoo Gift Shop.

While you’re here, be sure to check out the newest part of Elephant Trek, where you will find Siamang gibbons*, rhinoceros hornbills, Asian small-clawed otters, and a new area where you can view the elephant herd. And, participate in the Zoo’s new PIN-credible pin trading program.
