Experience Wild Fun at a Cool Price During Winter Discount Days at the Cincinnati Zoo
Discount admission to the Cincinnati Zoo January 5 – March 1
CINCINNATI (January 2, 2026) – Head to the Cincinnati Zoo during Winter Discount Days at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden! Visitors will enjoy deeply discounted Zoo admission January 5 through March 1 and can see special animal encounters, chats and enrichment Saturdays and Sundays (and holiday Mondays) through February 22.
“The Cincinnati Zoo is open year-round and there is plenty to see and do in the winter,” said Cincinnati Zoo VP of business operations Chad Yelton. “Some of our newer residents, including American black bears Juniper and Hazel and sea otters Chloe and Kevin, are likely to be outside even on cold days, as are fan favorites like the red pandas, snow leopard and cougars.”
There will be special animal encounters on the weekends. Learn more about black bears, sea otters, polar penguins, Mexican wolves, and kea, plus experience close encounters with some of the stars of the Ameritas Wings of Wonder!
“There’s still a lot to do and see at the Zoo on cold days, and the discounted admission makes a winter visit even more attractive,” said Yelton.
Indoor habitats include Birds of the World, Manatee Springs, Night Hunters, Jungle Trails, Reptile House, Dragons, and Discovery Forest. Gorillas are viewable in their indoor habitat, and the world-famous hippos will be out if temps are above 35 degrees. If you’re still feeling festive, PNC Festival of Lights runs through January 4. The Cincinnati Zoo opens daily at 10 a.m. Starting Monday, closing time will be 5 p.m. For more information, visit http://cincinnatizoo.org/.
