Rides & Attractions Open
Spring in Full Swing at Cincinnati Zoo
On Saturday, March 17, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden leaps into spring and officially opens the Zoo’s Conservation Carousel, 4-D Special FX Theater and the popular Safari Train. The rides were down for routine maintenance over the winter months.
Nearly 400,000 people board the Zoo’s Safari Train each year making it one of the most popular attractions at the Zoo. The 4-D Special FX Theater will open the season with two new shows – Road Runner 4-D and Planet Earth: Ice World 4-D! The 4-D Theater combines high definition 3-D projection with a variety of sensory effects such as wind, scents, mist and many other exciting surprises! The 4-D Theater sells out on peak days so in order to secure a spot in the theater, buy tickets early or online at www.cincinnatizoo.org.
And more warm weather means more animals are out enjoying the early Spring. The Zoo has plans to begin some of its Animal Encounters and feedings earlier than normal starting this Saturday. These encounters would typically begin April 1, but the early warm weather has expedited the season.
