CINCINNATI, OH (July 22, 2026) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden guests are invited to bring their favorite plush pals to the third annual Stuffed Animal Clinic on July 29 where they can receive a fun check-up or even an emergency visit if they’re in need of a little extra TLC.

Adult Zoo volunteers with special talents in sewing, crafting, and engaging young animal lovers will staff the clinic, equipped with stethoscopes, flashlights, tongue depressors, needle and thread, and plenty of other “medical” supplies to care for every plush patient. Volunteers from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital will also be on hand to assist with patient check-in and help create an authentic clinic experience.

While their stuffed friends receive check-ups and repairs, children and their families will discover how Cincinnati Zoo’s veterinary and animal care teams provide world-class care for Zoo animals and help protect native wildlife through conservation efforts.

“Whether it’s a routine check-up or an ’emergency’ repair, every stuffed patient will receive the care it needs,” said Brittany Garera-Stapleton, volunteer program manager at the Cincinnati Zoo. “While kids are helping their plush pals feel better, they’ll also discover how our veterinarians and animal care teams keep Zoo animals healthy and help protect wildlife right here in Ohio.”

Reservations are strongly recommended, and guests with reservations will be prioritized at check-in. The Zoo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Members get Early Entry and are welcome to enter the Zoo at 9 a.m. The Stuffed Animal Clinic will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sign up for a slot today!
