Third Annual Jack O’Lantern Glow Returns Bigger and Brighter at the Cincinnati Zoo
CINCINNATI, OH (September 24, 2026) – Jack O’Lantern Glow, presented by Medpace, returns to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden starting on Friday, October 2, for its third year. The family-friendly, immersive pumpkin show features more than 6,000 hand-carved illuminated jack o’lanterns arranged in more than 20 themed areas.
“Jack O’Lantern Glow was already the largest event of its kind in the Tri-state area, and we’ve added even more pumpkins to the mix this year,” said Cincinnati Zoo events manager Sydney Boudreaux. “The layout of the event has also been updated to accommodate more themes. The pumpkins –all hand carved and decorated by talented local artists – are so impressive. There is something new and photo-worthy around every corner!”
Guests will see glowing animals, familiar faces, and incredible works of pumpkin art as they explore the half-mile trail. And, as a bonus, the Reptile House and Night Hunters buildings will be open nightly until 9 p.m.
Jack O’ Lantern Glow runs nightly, October 2 – 31st (excluding Monday Oct 5, 12 & 19). Cincinnati Zoo members receive a discount on tickets. Take advantage of the new Boo Bundle offer! Get 4 tickets for only $44! Children under 3 are free.
