“Because of our huge social media following, some of our residents are world famous and beloved by people who can’t visit Cincinnati,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard.  “That’s why we launched our virtual site.  Our first live cam was in Hippo Cove and was an immediate hit with Fiona fans all over the world.  As we’ve added more animal cams, the super-affordable virtual memberships have become even more popular.”

Elephant Trek opened in October and has been a huge draw for members and regional visitors.  Now that the weather is nice and the elephants are out in their big yard most of the time, the Zoo wanted to give more people the opportunity to watch the herd’s daily activities.

“All animals have unique personalities, which people will see when they observe Sabu, Anak, SheRa, Kabir, Sanjay, Mai Thai, Schottzie, and Jati in Elephant Trek,” said Maynard.  “The live cam provides a great view of the elephants’ big pool, so people will see which individuals like water the most.”

Exclusive content and a 10% discount in the Zoo’s online shop add even more value to the virtual membership.  Get one for yourself or your best animal-loving friend!
