Zoofari 2016: A Botanical Dream
CINCINNATI (September 1, 2016) – This year, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is celebrating its award-winning botanical garden with a green-themed party. Join 2500+ corporate leaders, zoo supporters and philanthropists for the 34th annual Zoofari, presented by Performance Lexus and Performance Lexus Rivercenter, on Friday, September 16, 2016.
“We’re the greenest Zoo in America, so it’s fitting to give a nod to our sustainability efforts as well as highlight our gorgeous gardens,” said Thane Maynard, Cincinnati Zoo Director. “Our horticulture director has been pushing for years to put Botanical Garden before Zoo in our name. We’re not going to do that, but this year’s Zoofari theme should make him happy!”
The backdrop for Cincinnati’s #1 charity event will include foliage from many climates, both towering and delicate, and will be punctuated by moody, evocative illuminations to create a stunningly saturated, expressive canopy under which guests will dine, relax and unwind.
Funds raised at Zoofari 2016: A Botanical Dream provide important support for the Zoo’s initiatives which include the care of 500 animal and 3,000 plant species, ground-breaking conservation and reproduction work, and educational outreach programs that reach more than 330,000 students annually.
The Zoo encourages fashionistas to flaunt their best formal attire or embrace floral or earthy styles to fit the botanical theme. As always, animal prints are in vogue too. Check out the Zoofari 2016 Pinterest board for more party attire ideas. Zoofari is the Zoo’s premiere party with a purpose, complete with delightful libations, dinner by the bite from 55 remarkable restaurants, wild animal encounters, an extraordinary silent auction and “GiRaffle,” high-energy entertainment and dancing under the stars.
NEW! Late Night Tickets for young professionals are available for a special price. Join the party at 9:30pm and enjoy dancing, an open bar and late night fare. For more information, or to purchase tables & tickets, please call 513-487-3328 or visit http://cincinnatizoo.org/events/zoofari/.
