Cincinnati Zoo is Offering Hamilton County Residents Half-Price Admission This Weekend

CINCINNATI, OH (August 20, 2025) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is offering Hamilton County residents half-price admission August 22 through August 24.

“We are happy to offer deeply discounted tickets as a ‘thank you” for the support that we receive from our neighbors,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “We want to make sure that all Hamilton County residents are able to enjoy their hometown Zoo.” 

This year, Cincinnati Zoo is celebrating its 150th anniversary and has incorporated that milestone celebration into its Ameritas Wings of Wonder (tip: arrive early to see bird trainer Bob in action)Visitors can catch that and the Cheetah Encounter and  Barnyard Bonanza this weekend. Check this schedule for times. 

Be sure to visit Harry and Linda Fath Elephant Trek if you haven’t seen it yet!  The beautiful, five-acre habitat is home to eight elephants, two Siamang gibbons, two rhinoceros hornbills, six Asian small-clawed otters, and lush plant-lined paths and garden beds. 

Tickets for Hamilton County Appreciation Days, brought to you by Hamilton County, can be purchased online in advance.  A valid Hamilton County photo ID will be checked upon entry.  

The Zoo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Members get Early Entry and are welcome to enter the Zoo at 9 a.m.
