Free Admission for Military on Memorial Day, 5/27

Summer Adventure at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, presented by Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers, kicks off this weekend with the return of the Ameritas Wings of Wonder, the Kroger Cheetah Encounter, the Grippos Barnyard Bonanza, and the season opening of the Dornette Kanga’ Klimb aerial adventure course.

As a thank you for your service, members of the military are invited to enter the Zoo for free on Monday, May 27, and can be among the first to sample the summer fun.* Up to 6 friends or family members visiting with military personnel can purchase tickets for just $15 for adults and $12 for seniors/child tickets! “Summer is a great time to visit,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard.  “You’ll see more animals and have opportunities to get up close and learn more about them from their keepers and trainers.”  Check the animal encounters schedule before you visit, so you can be sure to catch amazing behavior demonstrations and other activities happening around the Zoo.

If adventure is your thing, get ready to gear up and get out on the Zoo’s Kanga’ Klimb, which opens for the season on Friday, May 24. This elevated course features a series of activities designed to safely test your balance and climbing skills plus increase self-reliance.  Tickets for the Klimb can be purchased in advance.  They are $18 for members and $21 for non-members.

The carousel and train are running throughout the day and are included in Gold, Platinum, and Donor memberships. Unlimited rides can also be purchased with general admission.

The Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Members enjoy early entry starting at 9 a.m. Zoo Babies, presented by General Electric Credit Union, runs through the end of the month.
