Visit a variety of East Africa’s wildlife habitats, each with its unique community of birds and mammals, scenic attractions and cultural components, from your comfortable window seat in a customized 4-wheel-drive safari vehicle. Stay in deluxe lodges and tented camps carefully selected to maximize wildlife viewing. Trip led by Ron Evans, Cincinnati Zoo’s Curator of Primates.         

 Belize: Reefs, Rainforests & Mayan Ruins – June 19 – 28, 2015


Discover Belize’s reefs, rainforests & Mayan ruins. Travel to where the colorful plumage of tropical birds accentuates the vine encrusted stone edifices of Central America’s Mayan past. Explore the only sanctuary to be dedicated to the solitary and elusive jaguar while your eyes feast on the multitude of exotic tropical birdlife that Belize has to offer. Visit Xunantunich, once a hub of Mayan civilization, now a magnificent ruin, whose central pyramid stands amid the cacophony of the living jungle. This 14-day expedition in South America will take you over Patagonian roads where you’ll see penguins, sea lions, whales, armadillos and more! Journey through Iguazú National Park and set your sights on Iguazu Falls, one of the greatest natural wonders of Argentina, surrounded by a subtropical jungle. Encounter the Esteros de Ibera, a vast natural area of lagoons and marshes, a magical landscape that’s home to an amazing diversity of wildlife.  Last stop on the tour is Temaikén Wildlife Park, the only accredited AZA Zoo in Argentina.
