HallZOOween Returns to the Cincinnati Zoo & Boo-tanical Garden this Weekend
Family-friendly Halloween celebration runs weekends in October
CINCINNATI, OH (October 10, 2025) – Grab your costumes and treat bags—HallZOOween, presented by General Electric Credit Union, is back at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden! The wildly popular, family-friendly, not-so-spooky fall event kicks off this weekend and features treat stations, animal pumpkin enrichment, photo opportunities, and festive fun from noon – 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays through the end of October.
HallZOOween is FREE with Zoo Admission! Kids are encouraged to get into the holiday spirit and wear a costume. Ghouls and boys can ride the Pumpkin Express Train Ride, presented by Huntington Bank, and the Carousel, presented by Furniture Fair, be amazed by Phil Dalton’s Theater of Illusion shows, and try some fall-themed foods. Guests can visit their favorite animals and see them enjoy pumpkins and Halloween-themed enrichment.
Back this year: Don’t miss a special daytime sneak peek of the Jack O’Lantern Glow, presented by Medpace. The trail of 6,000 pumpkins hand-carved by local artists is best enjoyed at night. The after-hours experience requires a separate ticket, with exclusive discounts available for Zoo members.

Animals like Sumatran orangutans are a critically endangered species due in part to the palm oil industry. Palm oil is used in many of the foods and products we consume every day from frozen vegetables to shampoo. Oil palm plantations are spreading across Indonesia, which produces 85% of the world’s supply of palm oil, often to the detriment of its rainforests and wildlife. As consumers, we can choose to buy products made with sustainable palm oil as certified by the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Below is a helpful guide for purchasing candy made with certified sustainable palm oil.
