Rides, Giraffe Feedings, and Early Entry are Back at the Cincinnati Zoo!
Spring season brings more reasons to visit Cincinnati Zoo
CINCINNATI, OH (March 7, 2025) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Spring season is officially here! Train and carousel rides are open and animal encounters, and giraffe feedings, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, resume March 8. Warmer temps bring more animals outside!
“Spring is a great time to visit the Zoo,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “The hippos, lions, elephants, kangaroos, and other fair-weathered friends become more active, and the botanical garden comes to life.”
Visitors can ride the all-electric Safari Train, sponsored by Huntington Bank, and the all carousel, sponsored by Furniture Fair. We are reimagining the space where Kanga’ Klimb, our adventure ropes course, sits. It will not be open for climbing but several alternative uses are being considered.
Become a member during Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s membership sale, happening now-April 30. Zoo Memberships, sponsored by Thomas & Galbraith, include unlimited visits and this year, the Zoo’s 150th anniversary, will be full of activities that will bring you back again and again. Standard, Gold, and Platinum level memberships include free parking and admission to the Zoo’s popular PNC Festival of Lights. Platinum and Gold level memberships include unlimited rides on the electric train and the carousel! Members can enter the Zoo one hour before general admission guests (spring-fall), save money on food and retail, and get discounted admission to programs and events such as the popular Barrows Conservation Lecture Series.
Visitors can see a multigenerational elephant herd at the Zoo’s newest and largest habitat, Elephant Trek. Phase 2 of Elephant Trek and the new North America habitat featuring sea otters and black bears will open later this year. Check the animal encounters schedule before you visit so you can make the most of your visit.
