This tool provides a way to directly compare the inorganic components of published media commonly used for plant tissue culture. This can help in finding media that might be best suited to your species, or media that might differ from each other in significant ways to test the responses of a species in vitro to those differences.
A growing database of the basal media and hormones used for plant tissue culture by species. Currently, the database includes 804 entries, representing 300 species in 136 genera in 51 families that have been cultured for somatic embryogenesis. Future updates will include additional species for both somatic embryogenesis, shoot culture initiation and growth, and zygotic embryo in vitro growth.
A growing database of the tissues and cryopreservation methods used for cryopreserving plant species. Currently, the database includes 466 entries, representing 393 species in 205 genera in 101 families that have been cryopreserved. Future updates will include additional species.
